Club Notes: July 3rd

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 2, 6, 8, 14, 26 and Tony McKenna won £100. The main jackpot remains at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.

Club Merchandise is available tomorrow night, Thursday, from 7:00 to 8:00pm for those who have pre-ordered. There will also be an opportunity to place new orders as well as purchase some merchandise from stock.

Our U21s lost to An Charraig Mhór by a point at the weekend and they play Dromore tonight, Wednesday in Ballinamullan. They play Pomeroy away on Tuesday 9th July at 8:00pm.

On Friday night, 5th July, we go to Dromore for Reserve and Senior League games at 7:00 and 8:15pm.   

Good luck to Tiernán McCann and Dermot Carlin and the Tyrone Senior Footballers on Saturday evening in Roscommon.

Our Senior Hurlers, fielding a mixture of youth and experience put up a good performance against Carrickmore last Saturday. Our Senior Hurlers are away to Naomh Colum Cille on Saturday evening at 6:30pm and our Minor Hurlers play Shamrocks in Ballinamullan on Monday evening at 7:45pm.  

It has been a very busy time at youth level with the Donnelly Cup, the visit of Warwickshire and the Summer Camp finishing tomorrow, Thursday. The coaches at this level will take a well earned rest for a few weeks. A big thank you to Youth Officer Barry McCaul, the management team of the U14 Footballers and the Parents who helped out so much at coaching and at games, as well as providing accommodation for the visitors from Warwickshire.

Ladies Football

The Senior Ladies defeated Omagh on Monday night in the League by 3-11 to 1-04 which leaves them having qualified for the League Semi Final. Well done to all.

U16 Training is on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm.

There is an U10 Girls Blitz in Ballinamullan on Saturday morning, 6th July.

Youth Football

U16 Football training this week is on Wednesday evening at 6:30pm.

The U8, U10 and U12s Footballers are taking a break now until the last week in July.

The Summer Camp is in full swing now with over 180 children participating this year.

Hurling

The Senior and Minor hurlers are training this week on Thursday evening at 7:30pm. Our Senior Hurlers are away to Naomh Colum Cille on Saturday evening at 6:30pm and our Minor Hurlers play Shamrocks in Ballinamullan on Monday evening at 7:45pm.  

U8 and U10 Hurling training has now finished and will resume latter in the Summer. It is still hoped to attend the County Hurling Blitzes on 6th July and 3rd August but please watch the Club website and Facebook page for details nearer the dates. A big thank you to Brian Furey, Shane McKinney and Ciaran Cranny who took a group of U8 Hurlers to a blitz in Ballyshannon last weekend.
