Well done to our Senior Footballers on their victory over Eglish last Saturday. Our Reserves had a great first half but fell away in the second. The spotlight now falls on our U21 Footballers and they play Omagh in Ballinamullan this Sunday evening at 7:00pm followed by an away game with Errigal Ciaran on Wednesday, June 26th, and then at home to An Charraig Mhór on Sunday June 30th. Games at home to Dromore on July 3rd and away to Pomeroy on July 9th complete the sectional League games.

We wish Sean Fox and the Tyrone Minor Footballers all the best on Sunday and we also wish Dermot Carlin a speedy recovery from his unfortunate injury and a quick return to Club and County duty.

Well done to our Primary Schools on their whole-hearted participation in the Donnelly Cup and all the other Competitions last Wednesday. A big thank you to the Teachers and Players. Barry McCaul and Barry O’Neill kept the packed programme of Games running smoothly and our Senior Referee Brian McGinn, as well as looking after the Girls Competition, led a team of 8 Young Whistlers who officiated at some 38 Games including 9 Finals. Our County Minor Footballer Sean Fox presented the trophies and medals. Hopefully some of last Wednesday’s young Players will follow Sean and star for Club and County.

Well done to our U14 Girls team who are now in the County Championship Semi Final thanks to a well deserved win over Edendork.

Tyrone U16 Ladies have been making the headlines. Well done to all involved including our own Louise Sloan.

The Minor Hurling League begins this Monday evening with a home game with Dún Geanainn Eoghain Ruadh at 7:45pm.

The Minor Girls were in action last night, Tuesday, against Cookstown Fr Rock’s but were unfortunately defeated by 6-08 to 1-06.

The U14A team played Dromore in the League Final last Wednesday evening. The lads put up a good display but unfortunately came up short against an extremely strong Dromore team who pulled away at the end. The entire U14 group of players can be extremely proud of their achievements this year.

U16 training schedule from coaches

Our annual Donnelly Cup Primary Schools competition took place last Wednesday. In glorious weather over 180 children from the Schools of the Parish put on a wonderful Footballing display. The Donnelly Cup itself was won by St Mary’s Killyclogher who defeated Recarson in the Final but the success of the competition was surely the enthusiasm and enjoyment of all involved. Well done to everyone associated with the Competition.

Hurling

U8, U10 and U12 training continues at the same days and times. The next County Hurling Blitz scheduled for Garvaghey on the 6th July and we will have more details next week.
