Tyrone Club Cappagh found themselves centre stage, literally, at Congress in April as an image of their clubhouse and grounds featured as the centrepiece of the conference backdrop and stage.
The stage was commissioned from Omagh based design house Lairdesign by GAA Brand Director Rebecca Hocking. Lairdesign’s Creative Director Fehin Quinn is a member of the Killyclogher St. Marys/Cappagh club, and he was able to provide just the right image for the GAA.
Said Rebecca: “ For the congress staging we wanted a contemporary design that showed what the GAA was all about. The simple image of the the club grounds emphasises that the heart of the GAA is with our clubs.”
“We have been working with Lairdesign on a number of our recent promotional initiatives including the GAA Abú Campaign, Give Respect Get Respect and Play GAA.”
It has been a good year for Cappagh, said Fehin Quinn of Lairdesign: “This year we’ve won an All Ireland Scór title in Kilarney. And now for the club to be featured prominently in the congress promotion – it is a massive honour for our club and great profile. From the Lairdesign perspective, we are really proud of our work with the GAA. It is one of our most valued clients and we are delighted that they commissioned us for this prestige project.”
“From the Cappagh perspective this is fantastic. In March we had 160 cyclists who completed a fundraising cycle from Croke Park to the Club. These things all help to build the fabric of the club and it shows the link between Croke Park and the club unit.”
