Training tomorrow night, Friday, for all who want to play Senior or Reserve Football this year. Assemble at 6.45pm for a 7.00pm start. It is great to see three young players, Danny Gorman, Emmett McFadden and Tiernan McCann back in action. They all suffered serious injuries but, thankfully, Danny and Emmett are back at senior training and Tiernan has been very impressive in recent games for Tyrone Under 21s.
Club membership for 2011 should be paid to Kenny Laing (077 8393 1617, kennylaing1@hotmail.co.uk).
We are still looking for new members for Cairde Cappagh.
A recruitment campaign, aimed at the 15-25 year olds, has been launched to produce new referees. The need for new referees is pressing. There will be coaching, guidance and testing for prospective referees. When qualified, referees will be provided with ear muffs and will receive a special grafting of thick skin. Only joking. It is however, an important matter. To play club games we need club referees – it’s as simple as that. If interested please contact John Coney or Brendan Harkin so that your name can be forwarded to the Referee’s Committee.
Well done to all our Scor competitors. A big thank you to those who helped with the smooth running of the Semi Final on Friday night last. Good luck to our representatives in the County Final in Galbally on Sunday 20th February.
The countdown is now well and truly under way for the big cycle from Páirc an Chrócaigh to Cappagh. Thankfully the weather cleared up well on Sunday afternoon. Well done to the hardy subs who braved the elements on Saturday and Sunday morning last.
Sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late Stephen McCance and especially to the O’Connors who have for long been strong supporters of our club.
