The club merchandise shop will be open tomorrow night, Thursday, as usual between 7:00 and 8:00pm. Price drop – a selection of items of various sizes are being reduced in the club merchandise shop.
The reserve and senior men’s leagues open on Sunday week, 11th May, when we host Dromore.
Our senior ladies defeated Dungannon in the Silver Preseason competition semi-final on Sunday evening and now play Carrickmore in the final tomorrow, Thursday, at 7:30pm at Ballinamullan.
Our minor boys’ grade two team defeated Pomeroy on Sunday and the development team drew with Errigal Ciaran. They have no matches this weekend.
Our minor girls travel to Loughmacrory next Tuesday for a match at 7:15pm.
Our U15 boys will play in the Féile na nÓg this Sunday at 2:00pm at Carrickmore in the same section as Carrickmore and the Rock.
Our U14 boys played Pomeroy on Sunday morning and play Eskra tonight, Wednesday.
Our U14 girls grade one team were defeated by Carrickmore last Thursday in the league. The development teams’ match with Omagh did not go ahead on Sunday morning. The grade one team play St. Macartan’s on Sunday week, 11th May.
Mark Bradley and Michael Rafferty represented the club in the Ulster SFC semi-final in Clones last Saturday evening. Sean Broderick and Shane McCaul represent the club in tonight’s Ulster U20 Championship final against Donegal and we wish them the very best of luck. Jamie Kelly and Christy McCrory (U16) and Ronan Barton, Ronan Broderick and Caolan McKinney (U15) represented the club in Brian McLernon Cup and Buncrana Cup competitions on Saturday. Ella McBride represented the club in last Sunday’s Ulster U16 Platinum final.
It was a busy weekend for handball at the club. Karla Corcoran was in the U17 doubles representing Ulster in a team of ten playing at Croke Park. They were runners-up, narrowly being pipped at the post by Munster. Also playing at Croke Park, was the U16/17 team of 4 for Tir Eoghain which included our Oisin McCrory. The team put up good performances against the other Provincial teams. The winner of the weekend Dermot Carlin who was the Division 2 winner in the Carrickmore league. Congratulations to Dermot. Playing in his first Ulster Junior B final in Kingscourt, Co Cavan on Sunday was Jerry Keenan. Jerry just fell short to Jack Turley from Co Down in a very close encounter. She’s Ace Mothers & Others handball began in the Ball Wall last night, Wednesday, All welcome to come alone next Wednesday at 7:30pm.
Tyrone GAA have now released their annual Gaeltacht Grants for Summer 2025. Applications will close on Friday 16th May at 5:00pm. Forms are available for download here.
The Couch to 5K six-week course began last night, Tuesday, at Youth Sport. You can still come along next Tuesday evening. The Killyclogher 5K and 10K will take place on Saturday 7th June. You can enter online here.
This year’s John’s Day, in memory of our never forgotten John Rafferty, was played out in beautiful weather on Saturday morning. The youth fun morning was hugely entertaining judging by the smiles on the faces of the children and the subsequent John Rafferty Sevens Tournament was extremely competitive. Congratulations to Loughmacrory who emerged victorious on the day. Thank you to everyone involved in the organisation and thank you to all who attended.
