On the steps of O’Moore Park, Portlaoise on Sunday, the GAA President Jarlath Burns referenced our club when presenting the All-Ireland U20 title to our very own Michael Rafferty – Captain of the Tyrone team. Michael and Gavin Potter represented us on the field with great distinction and both achieved their second All-Ireland U20 title in three years – a wonderful feat. Gavin was also named the 2024 Player of the Province in the EirGrid Ulster U20 Football Championship. We are extremely proud of both these young men. We also congratulate Leo Green and Damian Cox who were important and well-respected members of the management and backroom team. Overall, great representation from our club.

At the same time on Sunday, our U16 hurlers were winning Provincial honours in Derry when they picked up the Division 3 U16 Táin Óg title defeating Naomh Aodhan of Fermanagh. Well done to all involved.

Our reserve men were narrowly defeated away to Edendork last Friday evening.

Our senior ladies are away to Killeeshil on Sunday evening at 6:00pm in the senior league.

Our minor boys are at home to Cookstown in the league this Monday at 7:30pm.

Our minor girls played Coalisland last night, Tuesday.

Well done to our U14 hurlers who defeated Benburb Duchie Neil in the Táin Óg league on Monday evening. They play Setanta next Monday evening in Ballinamullan.

Sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late Roberto Porter, father of our senior players Robbie and Aishling.

Sincere sympathy, also, to the family circle of the late Julie McElroy who did so much to promote our culture.
