The senior men travel to Trillick on Friday evening for a division 1 league game at 7:30pm. The reserves will play their game in Trillick on Tuesday, 8th May. On Sunday last we lost in the senior league to the Moy by the narrowest of margins, 0-11 to 0-12. It was a disappointing result especially when such a good effort was made in the last quarter.
The senior hurlers went into action on Monday night and had a closely contested game with St Enda’s. We didn’t add on enough in the second half to our good half time position and finished up losing by two points. On Saturday we go to Clonduff in the Taín league and on Monday evening we are due to play Éire Óg at Ballinamullan.
The senior ladies had a good win over Strabane on Sunday past and will hope to continue the good results at home to Cookstown this Sunday evening.
The minor boys defeated Errigal Ciaran last night, Tuesday, and tomorrow night, Thursday, they play Dromore in Ballinamullan.
The minor girls played Kildress last week and are away to Owen Roes tomorrow night, Thursday.
The U14 boys defeated Omagh last week and have games with Carrickmore and Aghaloo this Sunday.
The U14 girls played the Moy on Monday night and are at home to Coalisland this Monday.
Congratulations to our hurling coaches led by Ciaran McBride on hosting and participating in the hurling féile last Saturday. We were glad of the enthusiastic support from Fintona in helping us to field. A special word of thanks to our team of helpers in the kitchen who provided the welcome cup of tea.
While that was going on in Ballinamullan we had two boys U8 teams at a blitz in Greencastle and we finished off the day with Mark Hayes leading the Tyrone minor attack scoring 2-04. Well done also to Odhran Grimes and John Rafferty.
