Our minor boys’ winning streak crashed to a halt last Sunday when they fell to impressive Dromore team. There is no game this weekend so there will be time to get together to take on the challenge of An Charraig Mhór, Omagh, Newtownstewart and Pomeroy in the league. The championship game with An Charraig Mhór also lies ahead.
Our boys U14 teams will play Donaghmore and Brackaville or Tattyreagh in the championships.
The U14 girls begin their season this Sunday at 4:00pm away to Galbally.
Well done to our youth players who represented us in the mini games at half time in the National Hurling League match last Saturday. Our indoor hurling and attendance at the blitzes has been very promising this year.
Gaelic Start continues in the Parish Centre this Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00am.
There is a limited number of places still available for our Easter Camp. Forms are available on the club website. This initiative is a source of great interest and excitement among our young players.
Our U17 Doubles team of Tiernan McAleer and Rian McCaul have reached the All Ireland Handball Final after defeating Galway opposition in last weekend’s semi-final. Well done to Brian McAleer who, with his Carrickmore partner, reached the All Ireland U14 Handball semi-final.
Sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late John O’Kane and especially to his cousin Mary Meenan. We also extend sympathy to the family circles of Alice Bradley and Peter Kelly.
