Club Notes: December 9th

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 9, 12, 18, 24, 30 and two winners, Carmel McAleer and Mary Meenan, each won £50. The main jackpot stays at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.
There will be a wide range of club wear available in the shop tomorrow night, Thursday, from 7:00 to 8:00pm. Those who placed Christmas orders some time ago can pick them up in the shop tomorrow night.
We wish to thank our Parish Priest Fr Kevin McElhennon for incorporating our club Mass last Friday into the programme of Masses in the Parish. A big thank you to Fr McFaul who celebrated the Mass. His words and special prayers praised the Club for what it is doing but also challenged it to reach further into the Parish community. He said that the GAA has always been good at giving everyone, especially young people, the importance of having a set of values and principles in their lives. We look forward to 2016 and the celebrating in our clubrooms of a liturgical event to mark both the beginning of Lent and the spring of a new year’s activities both on and off the field.
On Sunday last we looked back at the many highlights of 2015 and used the setbacks to make us more determined in 2016.
The first club meeting will be on Thursday 14th January 2016.
