Our senior men were defeated by Loughmacrory in the Tyrone Senior Championship first round last Friday. A strong second-half performance wasn’t enough to win the game. We created a lot of good scoring opportunities and on another night, we might have had more luck with them. Alas, it wasn’t to be and we have exited the competition. Such is the terrible beauty of the Tyrone Championship. We thank the players and the management for their efforts this year which shouldn’t be taken for granted.

Our U16 boys’ grade one team defeated Carrickmore on Monday night in awful weather conditions and they host Dungannon this weekend.

Our U16 girls had a great win over Donaghmore in the grade one championship semi-final last Tuesday and now have a final to look forward to. Details still to be confirmed.

Well done to our U14 girls who were in action at the weekend at the Gloria Corrigan Tournament in Emyvale. The girls made it to the Shield Final only to lose out by a few points.

Well done to our U13 girls who performed fantastically at the weekend’s U13 County Blitz. They drew with Dromore and beat St Macartan’s and Omagh and have now qualified for the county semi-finals.

Well done to our U11.5 boys who competed in the Cormac McAnallen tournament at the weekend in Eglish. We were narrowly defeated by a point in the final. Cormac Carlin was the player of the tournament picking up the Cormac All Star 2025.

Killyclogher She’s Ace ladies took part in the National She’s Ace weekend in Claregalway. Karla Corcoran won the 17 & Under Plate, Maria Hinds was runner-up in the Ladies Challenger Plate and Sharon Wilson was just pipped in the quarter-final of the Ladies Challenger Cup.

Congratulations to Oistin McAteer, Niall McFadden, Stephen O’Neill and the Tyrone Masters on winning the All-Ireland final in Cavan at the weekend.

Sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late Mervyn McCrossan (Old Mountfield Road), some of whom are very actively involved in our club. Although born in Dregish, Mervyn spent most of his life in Killyclogher and the pride of place that the navy and sky-blue plant-pots had in his immaculate garden was proof, if it was needed, that he was certainly one of us.

Sincere sympathy, also, to the family circle of the late Claire McGrenaghan, some of whom are also actively involved in our club.
