Club Notes: August 20th

Winning numbers in the club lotto were 4, 10, 20, 24, 27 and Helen Rafferty won £100. The jackpot remains at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual on Monday evening. You can enter online on our website or via Klubfunder.

Our online merchandise shop is now live and can be accessed at www.killycloghergaa.com/clubshop. For your convenience, a number of items are still available in the club shop at Ballinamullan, which will remain open on Thursdays between 7:00 and 8:00pm until remaining stock is cleared.

Both our reserve and senior men defeated Edendork at Ballinamullan last Wednesday evening in the Tyrone ACL. Our senior men also recorded a comprehensive win away to Moortown on Sunday. The senior men are away to Gortin on Friday evening at 7:15pm. Both teams are away to Carrickmore next Wednesday, 27th August.

Our senior ladies were defeated by Carrickmore on Sunday evening in the senior league. They host Killeeshil this Sunday evening at 6:30pm.

Our minor boys’ grade two team are still waiting on fixture details for their league final.

Our U16 boys’ grade one team were defeated by Galbally on Sunday morning. They travel to Beragh tomorrow night, Thursday, and host Clonoe next Thursday.

Our U16 girls played Donaghmore last night, Tuesday, in a league match.

Well done to our representatives on last weekend’s Brian McLernon Cup– and Buncrana Cup-winning teams.

Well done to Sharon Wilson who was winner of the Handball Ladies Challenger competition and Karla Corcoran who was runner-up in the 17 & Under competition on Sunday.

Well done to our Dads & Lads team who won the Drumragh Dads & Lads tournament at the weekend.

Well done to our Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others team who travelled to a blitz in Glencar, Manorhamilton at the weekend.

Sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late Molly McGinn (Old Mountfield Road), a great many of whom have strong connections to our club.

Sincere sympathy, also, to the family circle of the late Barney Heagney (Dunamore, Kildress), some of whom are actively involved in and very supportive of our club, including his grand-daughter Ciara who plays for our senior ladies.
