Club Notes: June 4th

Winning numbers in the club lotto were 6, 7, 11, 14, 27 and Fearghal McDonald won £100. The jackpot remains at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual on Monday evening. You can enter online on our website or via Klubfunder.

The club merchandise shop will be open tomorrow night, Thursday, as usual between 7:00 and 8:00pm. Price drop – a selection of items of various sizes are being reduced in the club merchandise shop.

Our men’s senior team opened their season with a win over Dromore at Ballinamullan on Sunday afternoon. The reserves were defeated by Dromore but were victorious away to Moortown on Friday evening. Trillick are visitors to Ballinamullan this Sunday with the reserve game at 2:15pm and the senior game will have a 3:45pm throw-in.

Our minor boys’ grade two team play Strabane tonight, Wednesday, in round 10 of the league and they play Dungannon next Wednesday. The grade three team play Cookstown next Tuesday.

Our U14 girls’ grade one team were defeated by Kildress in the championship semi-final last night. Tuesday. The development team were defeated by Dromore in their championship semi-final last Tuesday evening.

Congratulations to our new All-Ireland Champions – Sean Broderick and Shane McCaul were members of the Tyrone U20 team who defeated Louth in the All-Ireland Final in Armagh last Wednesday night. Leo Green and Damian Cox were members of the backroom team.

Good luck to Thomas and Charlie Meenan and the Tyrone Minors in their All-Ireland quarter-final match against Cork which takes place in O’Moore Park, Portlaoise this Saturday at 1:45pm.

The Annual Killyclogher 5K and 10K will take place this Saturday, 7th June. A brilliant day in our events calendar, please come along to take part or to support the participants. You can enter online here.

Our annual primary schools’ competition, The Donnelly Cup, will take place on Friday. An important and immensely popular fixture in our annual calendar, The Donnelly Cup is a day not to be missed. Please come along and enjoy the spectacle. We thank this year’s event sponsor partner Nic Ice (for all your ice-cream needs) for their ongoing support.

There will be a workshop for Amhrán na bhFiann in the kitchen at the clubrooms on Monday, 9th June, at 7.00 pm. Anyone wishing to learn and sing our National Anthem will be very welcome to attend.

Sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late Nan Meenan (Fecarry, Mountfield). Nan’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren have represented us on the playing field and the entire family have been strong supporters of our club.
