Club Notes: March 6th

Winning numbers in the club lotto were 3, 6, 22, 27, 29 and five winners each won £20. The jackpot remains at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual on Monday evening. Club lotto can be played online via Klubfunder.

The club merchandise shop will be open tomorrow night, Thursday, from 7:00 to 8:00pm.

The National Club Draw tickets are still on sale and can be purchased here.

Club membership for 2024 is now due and should be paid online using the Foireann website or between 6:30 and 8:00pm on Friday evening in the club kitchen.

Our minor boys began their league season last Sunday with a defeat away to Galbally.

Our U14 boys were narrowly defeated away to Cookstown last Saturday morning in their opening league match. This Saturday morning, they are at home to Loughmacrory.

Well done to both our U14 girls teams who were victorious at the weekend – the grade one team won away to Ardboe and the development team won at home to Carrickmore. This Sunday, they are away to Omagh (grade one) and at home to Errigal Ciaran (development).

Good luck to Michael Rafferty, Gavin Potter and the Tyrone U20s who begin their season this Saturday away to Antrim in the Ulster Championship.

Good luck to Thomas Meenan and the Tyrone Minors who begin their season tonight, Wednesday, away to Derry in the Ulster Minor League.

Good luck to our representatives in the Rince Seit, Rince Foirne and Amhránaíocht Aonair competitions of Scór Sinsear in this Sunday’s County Final which takes place in St. Joseph’s Hall, Omagh from 5:00pm.

Congratulations to Eoin Bradley who has been chosen as the Captain of the Ireland Over 40s International Rules team which plays Australia in two tests beginning this Saturday in Charlestown Sarsfields GAA Club, Co Mayo. The second test is on Saturday 16th March at Denn GFC, Co Cavan.

Well done to Karla Corcoran who played in an All Ireland U16 Handball Doubles semi-final last Sunday.

Well done to Jamie Kelly, Christy McCrory, Charlie Meenan, Ciarnan Devine, Oliver Barton, James Maguire and Omagh CBS on reaching the Oisin McGrath Cup final.

Brendan Harkin’s Month’s Mind takes place tomorrow evening, Friday, at 7:30pm in St. Mary’s Church, Killyclogher.

The Funeral Mass of Seamus Meenagh will take place in Corpus Christi Church, Mountfield on Saturday at 11:00am.
