Club Notes: February 28th

Winning numbers in the club lotto were 7, 9, 11, 14, 21 and Kate McGinn won £100. The jackpot remains at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual on Monday evening. Club lotto can be played online via Klubfunder.

The club merchandise shop will be open tomorrow night, Thursday, from 7:00 to 8:00pm.

The National Club Draw tickets are still on sale and can be purchased here.

Club membership for 2024 is now due and should be paid online using the Foireann website.

Our minor boys begin their league season this Sunday away to Galbally at 11:00am.

Well done to our U14 boys team who were unluckily defeated in the final of the Fintona Tournament last Saturday after some great performances in the earlier rounds. They begin their league season this Saturday morning at 11:00am away to Cookstown.

Well done to our U14 girls grade one team who defeated Edendork last weekend. They are away to Ardboe on Sunday at 11:00am. The development team are at home to Carrickmore at the same time.

Well done to Sean Broderick, Mark Corcoran, Matthew Howe and Omagh CBS who were successful in the Hogan Cup semi-final against St Gerald’s Castlebar last Sunday in Ballyshannon. They now play Mercy Mounthawk from Kerry in the Hogan Cup Final in Croke Park.

Well done to our Scór Sinsear competitors who were successful at Sunday night’s Tyrone Semi-Final in Carrickmore. We have qualified for the County Final in Rince Seit, Rince Foirne and Amhránaíocht Aonair (Cara McGillion) which will take place on Sunday 10th March at 5.00pm.

There will be a National Anthem workshop tomorrow night, Thursday, at 7:00pm in the Cappagh Suite. The workshop is suitable for boys and girls from Year 8 upwards.

The club is organising Irish Language classes aimed at conversational Irish at the clubrooms which will be held on Thursday nights from 7.00 until 8.00pm for beginners and also on Thursday nights from 8.00 until 9.00pm for those with some Irish. Those interested should express an interest indicating which session they would prefer by Tuesday 5th March to Dónal Magee (07721412610). The groups will be limited to 20 persons per group and will last for 5 weeks. If there is an acceptable interest two further groups of 5 lessons will be arranged. The lessons will be free of charge.
