GET READY FOR THE KILLYCLOGHER 10K ROAD RACE & 5K FUN RUN – ‘COUCH TO 5K CONTINUED’
Killyclogher / Cappagh GAA in conjunction with Run For Enda / The Enda Dolan Foundation are organising a running programme in the lead up to the annual Killyclogher 10K Road Race and 5K Fun Run being held on Saturday 11th June 2022. The programme builds on the success of the recent Enda Dolan Foundation training programmes, both couch to 5K and 5K to half marathon in which over 300 runners trained and participated in the recent Omagh Half Marathon and Fun Run.
The latest running programme is for beginners and improvers who are interested in attempting to run a 5K, for those who wish to improve their 5K time or for those hoping to attempt their first 10K.
The 6-week training programme will take place every Tuesday night at Youth Sport Omagh starting this Tuesday, 3rd May, at 6:30pm (Registration from 6.00pm). Further details are available on the Run for Enda and Killyclogher 10K Facebook pages.
The cost will be £25 for the 6 weeks for adults training for the 5K which includes race entry, chip timing and a medal and £30 for adults training for the 10K which includes race entry, chip timing and a t-shirt. £10 for children – this will include coaching, race entry fee and a medal.
Peter Dolan from The Enda Dolan Foundation said “We are really looking forward to this new running programme. It has become a great social occasion as well as introducing health and fitness awareness to many young and young-at-heart people.”
