COVID-19 has affected the activities of our Club since mid March and continues to do so.
Since then we have followed all the GAA Regulations and in turn have kept all our members as safe as we could reasonably expect. Now is not the time to be letting our guard down and we don’t intend to do that.
Due to government and GAA HQ restrictions we are not in a position to hold a normal Club AGM this year.
Hosting an online AGM is not suitable either given the number of people who usually attend and the problems that would present and we want to include all members of our club community.
Accordingly, and following what many other clubs are doing, our planned way ahead instead of a traditional AGM is:
- The Clubs end-of-year Reports on the Club’s 2020 business will be available in the next few weeks. Any full member can request a copy of these reports by contacting our club Secretary Eamon McGrath (contact details below).
- Our Club Committee is recommending that all our 2020 Officers and Committee remain in post for 2021.
- Anyone who is interested in playing a part in the 2021 Club Committee should contact our Secretary Eamon McGrath on 07789518414 or at secretary.killyclogher.tyrone@gaa.ie
Our Club 2020 year will officially end on Sunday 6 December and our 2021 Committee will meet for the first time the following week to prepare for 2021.
We believe this is the best way forward for our Club as we cannot allow any COVID-19 risk to our community.
We do not know what 2021 holds for us all so it is essential that we keep on working hard to protect each other.
