Last week was a hectic one in terms of coaching sessions, training and competitive action. We had some great performances and some well-deserved results from U10 blitzes to the reserve and senior league games for men. The U14 boys’ game was an outstanding game in every respect and our minor boys’ development squad also put on a great performance.
At senior and reserve level we played very well in patches but paid the price in both games for failing to concentrate. These lapses cost us dearly. This weekend, our senior men’s game with An Charraig Mhór is on Friday evening at 7:30pm with the reserve game on Sunday at 2:15pm.
The minor boys are due to play Strabane on Sunday and are in action on two fronts next Wednesday, 1st May, when we play Omagh and Greencastle.
The U14 boys play Dromore tonight, Wednesday, and play Trillick on Tuesday.
Our senior ladies played Sperrin Óg last Saturday and lost out in a high-scoring game.
The minor girls played Stewartstown last night, Tuesday, and play Galbally next Tuesday.
The U14 girls are to play Castlederg next Thursday.
Congratulations to Grainne McCann who has been awarded the Gaelic View Sportsperson of the Month Award for April.
Congratulations also to Ceire McCusker, Cara O’Neill and Louise Wylie who won the Ulster U14 title in Emyvale with Tyrone last weekend.
Those taking part in the 5K and 10K Runs on Saturday 8th June are taking advantage of the lovely weather to get in some extra training. Details of the Couch 2 5K preceding this will be announced shortly.
