We did not win the senior football championship title last Sunday but our panel of players and management team put in so much effort all year that we cannot use negative terms like beaten or losing. Our players and management won their way to the county final thanks to a combination of talent and skill, commitment and dedication. We will be back. Beidh lá eile againn.
We go to Edendork for the one remaining league fixture at 2:30pm on Sunday.
Our U13 boys go into action on Saturday morning away to Omagh. Time to be confirmed. Coaches will keep players informed.
Our U16 girls defeated Tattyreagh in the championship last night, Tuesday, and are due to play Castlederg away on Sunday at 11:00am in the league.
So, it is very much a case of being back to the usual club routine but it would be remiss of us to leave the county final without highlighting the tremendous work that went into the build-up. We especially mention those who sold merchandise for our supporters, those who decorated the Parish, those who organised, prepared and served at the Big Breakfast and the literally hundreds who came and made it such a success. We thank our many generous sponsors, those who organised the programme advertising and Kieran McMullen and Mary Rafferty for capturing the whole week through their media and finally we thank our loyal supporters who gave great vocal support and encouragement at the match. We have a great team of players and we have a great team of workers and supporters.
