Club Notes: March 8th

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 5, 18, 23, 24, 27 and Marjorie McElroy, Annie McAleer and Kevin Green each won £35. The main jackpot remains at £5,000 for the next draw which takes place at the Bingo in the Parish Centre as usual on Monday night.
Wide range of club-wear available in the club shop tomorrow night, Thursday, from 7:00 to 8:00pm.
On Friday night we are holding a Dinner Dance to celebrate a successful 2016 and to pay tribute to all those who made it possible and promoted our various activities. Pride of place goes to The O’Neill Cup back in the Parish again after a lapse of 13 years.
Last Friday night we were honoured as Senior Team of the Year by The Ulster Herald and Marty Swift was in contention for Sports Personality of the Year.
Our U14 and U18 boys got their leagues underway last weekend. We had mixed fortunes with the U14s winning and the U18s losing in spite of a lot of possession in the first half when we were largely in control. The U14s are away to Errigal on Saturday and the U18s are at home to Loughmacrory on Sunday.
The U14 and U18 girls also tasted league action last weekend recording wins at both levels. The U14 girls are at home to Trillick on Saturday and the U18 girls are at home to St Macartan’s on Sunday.
A big thank you to all who worked last weekend to help to deliver a packed programme of activities. We played four youth games, had a very successful registration morning and hosted the County Final in Scór.
Congratulations to our Ballad Group on the County Scór Title and good luck in the Ulster Semi Final. Well done to Hannah McGirr on her performance in the Solo Singing section at the County Final.
There will be a club meeting tomorrow night, Thursday, at 8:30pm.
A massive thank you on behalf of Kate McAleer to everyone who attended and donated to her coffee morning on Sunday. A total of £640 was raised for Friends of Africa, which will go a long way in funding their projects in Tanzania. Also a huge word of thanks to everyone who donated bags to her Cash for Clobber. There was a great response within the club and the generosity of people has been outstanding. Anyone who still wishes to donate bags of clothes can contact 07543279653 to arrange collection.
Sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late Charlie McMenamin. Charlie was a great supporter of the music and language.
