We gained a place in the final thanks to a whole team effort and a great display of spirit and enthusiasm. The sheer will to win got us there in the end. The County Final is for everyone and there will be plenty of opportunities to add to the atmosphere in the run up to 9th October. For the players the whole focus will be on the match itself. No matter who wins the replay our players know that they will be facing one of the best teams in the county. That’s the challenge and that what makes the Championship so special.
Our U16 boys bowed out of the league at the quarter final stage last Saturday. In terms of good numbers for training and games this was a special group of players. They are a great asset to our club.
The U13 boys lost to Omagh on Monday night, play Strabane tonight, Wednesday, and play Fintona on Sunday. This is another capable and enthusiastic group of players who deserved more success on the field.
Not even the enthusiasm of our U10 boys and a whole host of visitors could overcome the elements on Saturday when The Cappagh Tournament had to be called off.
Our U8 boys will make the trip to The Moy Tournament this Saturday morning.
The U16 girls play Dromore tomorrow night, Thursday, in the league.
Our minor hurlers face Eoghain Ruadh in the championship on Sunday at 12:30pm.
