Our Seniors defeated Trillick yesterday, Sunday, in Plunkett Park Pomeroy on a score of 2-10 to 1-09 in the Tyrone SFC Quarter Final.
In extremely windy conditions, our men got off to a perfect start with a first minute goal from Fergal Meenagh. A second goal in the first half from Emmett McFadden and some good point scoring left the game 2-06 to 0-04 at half time.
Trillick came back in the second half particularly from their free-taking. Indeed, a penalty in the closing stages brought them within the possibility of a comeback. However, a final Simon O’Neill point put four points between the teams at the end.
The draw for the Semi Final will take place next weekend.
