Club Notes: March 23rd

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 8, 12, 16, 22, 29 and Susan Howe received £100. The main jackpot stays at £5,000 for the next draw which takes place at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night week, 4th April. Please note that there will be no Bingo this Monday night, Easter Monday. We will be back in action on 4th April with our usual casual prizes and the chance to win an extra £1,000 on the flyover jackpot.
The Easter Camp commences this Tuesday, 29th March, and will run until Friday 1st April. Starting time each day is 10:00am and the camp will include football, hurling, camogie and handball. It will finish each day at 1:00pm.
Our Minor boys got back to winning ways with a victory over Omagh in the Minor league on Sunday and play Pomeroy this Tuesday.
Our Minor girls play Dromore this Saturday.
On Monday evening, the U14 Dev boys defeated Drumquin and they play Castlederg on Saturday.
Our U14 girls took part in the Féile in Garvaghey last Saturday.
Barney McAleer’s good work at handball was well rewarded last Sunday when Tiernan McAleer and Rian McCaul only lost their All Ireland U17 Doubles Final in Kingscourt in a tie-breaker. A heart-breaking narrow defeat but a great achievement. Well done to everyone involved.
Our Minor boys were part of a well organised and informative evening last week with the “Mind Set” mental health and self esteem programme. More events on this important issue are planned by Una o’Kane.
We encourage all to take part in the Run For Enda this Saturday. Our own “Couch to 5K” in preparation for our Killyclogher 10K and 5K begins on Monday night week, 4th April.
Sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late Mary O’Kane, formerly of Carrigans, and especially to her brother John McKinney who has been a great friend to our Club over the years. We also extend sympathy to the family circle of the late Leo Mulryan.
