Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 6, 13, 17, 25, 29 and Patrick McEnhill won £100. The main jackpot stays at £5,000 for next week’s draw which will take place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.
Last Saturday, our Senior Footballers travelled to Coalisland for the Semi Final of the top 4 competition and came away with a well-earned victory. An all-round good team performance with a few outstanding individual performances secured a place in this Sunday’s Final. We take on Dromore at 3:00pm in Carrickmore with the 2014 League Division 1 Title at stake.
Shorter days with cold winds and showery outbreaks tell us that Winter is upon us and of course that means Scór. We hosted a very entertaining and highly competitive first round in Dún Úladh last Saturday. A big thank you to those who prepared our participants, those who looked after the running of the event and of course those who participated. They were great representatives of our Club. We wish those who qualified all the best in the Semi Finals in Carrickmore on Sunday 9th November.
The community spirit in our Parish was very evident last week as large crowds attended the wake and funeral of Enda Dolan and gave support to the Dolan family circle. Special mention to the dignified manner in which the young people rallied round to celebrate his life, mourn his untimely death and were a source of consolation. It again shows us that we should be quicker to praise the inherent goodness of our teenagers and be slower to criticise them.
The Club Merchandise Shop will be open in Ballinamullan as usual on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00pm.
Some great development work is well under way in Ballinamullan. A novel fundraising effort is proposed to offset the cost of putting steps into the embankment area by family members or groups of friends sponsoring a step in their name for £500.
