Club Notes: June 4th

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 4, 5, 16, 24, 28 and twenty one winners each won £5. The main jackpot stays at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.

Our run in the Senior Football Championship came to an abrupt end last Saturday when we fell to Dromore. It was a performance that did little justice to the talents of our players or to the efforts they have made all year. That’s the Championship and it’s now time to focus on the League.

We play Omagh St Enda’s this Sunday in Ballinamullan with the Reserve game at 4:30pm and the Senior game at 6:00pm.

Club Merchandise on sale in the shop tomorrow night, Thursday, 7:00 to 8:00pm.

There will be a Club Meeting tomorrow night, Thursday, at 8:30pm.

The U21 Football begins for us on Tuesday 10th June.

A big thank you to all those who helped us to host the Championship games last Thursday. We had a great team of workers, male and female. We will be looking for a similar smooth operation on Friday night, 6th June, when we host two games.

Our Minor Footballers overcame a poor beginning to force a draw with Pomeroy and went on to win a place in the next round of the Championship with a well earned victory in extra time. Well done to the players and management on a fine fighting performance. Out thoughts and prayers are with the family circle of Barry O’Neill at this difficult time.

We also pray for a full and speedy recovery for Barry McGarvey who has undergone hospital treatment.
