Club Notes: November 20th

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 9, 12, 18, 21, 26 and Hugo Sweeney won £100. The main jackpot remains at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.

A big thank you to those who helped with the smooth running of last Sunday’s playoff game. We need a similar effort this Sunday for the Trillick v Strabane game which has a 1:45pm throw in time.

Well done to all who represented us in this year’s Scór na nÓg and to those who prepared them. Good luck in the Final on Sunday 1st December.

Call at the Clubrooms tomorrow night, Thursday 21st, between 7:00 and 8:00pm and you can buy some items of Club Merchandise from stock and place orders for other items.

With the AGM scheduled for Sunday 15th December Members are reminded that the closing date for the return of Nomination and Motion forms is Monday 25th November. Hard copies of the Form are available from the Secretary or in the Fitness Suite or can be downloaded from the Club Website.

“Memories of Yesteryear” – an excellent CD on the oral history of Knockmoyle as told by local people intermingled with music and song, also performed by local people was launched last Sunday.

Well done to Shane McKenna on winning the Reserve Player of the Year Award from his new Club in Australia, Cormac McAnallen’s GAC.

Well done also to our representatives, Gary McKenna, Paul Sweeney and Brian McElroy, on the Tyrone Masters team who beat Mayo last weekend to qualify for the All Ireland Semi Final on Saturday week.

We were well represented in the U16 Hurling Blitz in Garvaghey last Thursday and we look forward to more of the same tomorrow night, Thursday 21st.
