Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 8, 14, 17, 18, 21 and eleven winners each won £10. The main jackpot remains at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.
We overcame Ardboe at the third time of asking last weekend. On Saturday morning, our Senior Footballers had bad luck with a couple of goal chances and eventually lost to Ardboe by two points. This was followed by a Reserve game in which we fell badly behind in the first half but fought back well in the second without being able to overcome the big lead.
Then on Sunday, it was back to Ardboe for a third installment and this time victory was ours as our Ladies put on a top class performance and easily defeated Ardboe. Their reward is a meeting with Strabane in the League Final next weekend.
As a result, the Night At The Races planned for Friday next 1st November has had to be postponed. A new date will be published next week. In the meantime, please continue to sell horses and get race sponsorship. For further details please contact Enda McCrory (07786652934) or Sean O’Kane (07737495404).
Sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late Tom Nugent, Cullion. Tom was a skilled Footballer and his brother was a tidy Hurler. The home-house in Castleroddy was a popular and crowded “venue” for the wireless broadcasts of Hurling and Football Championship games throughout the 1950s. Tom’s sons were strong, determined Players and continue to give our Club loyal and generous support and the next generation is already involved.
At U16 level, our Girls defeated Coalisland in the Championship and will now play Clonoe away on Saturday at 1pm in the Semi Final.
Our U16 Boys have also qualified for the Semi Final of the Championship and will play Galbally on Saturday week, 2nd November.
We face Clonoe this Saturday in the Reserve Knock Out in Ballinamullan at 3pm.
We travel to Carrickmore for Senior and Reserve League games on Sunday.
We have a hectic schedule of games and all out teams would appreciate your support over the next few weeks.
We will be taking part in Scór na nÓg as usual and we are also hosting a first round in Dún Úladh next weekend.
