Club Notes: October 9th

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 6, 8, 17, 20, 29 and twenty two winners each won £5. The main jackpot remains at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.

Our Reserve Footballers get back into action on Saturday when they play the Moy in the Reserve Knockout at 3:30pm in Ballinamullan.

Our well attended U10 Football Tournament last Saturday was a great success due to teamwork. The very efficient group of organisers; those who lined out the pitches; those who drew up and kept the fixtures running and all the players and management teams combined to ensure that it all went like clockwork. We also had some keenly contested fixtures and all games were played in a sporting manner. Then there was the team that provided and served the welcomed hospitality. All in all, a great occasion for the Club.

On Sunday teamwork was also the fore as our well drilled Ladies team impressively defeated Beltubet in the Ulster Intermediate Club Championship. There were some outstanding individual performances as well as good combination Football. You will have another chance to see them in action this Sunday when they take on Milford in the Ulster Semi Final in Ballinamullan at 2:00pm.

Our U16 Hurlers performed well but lost narrowly to Shamrocks in the Championship on Sunday last.

There will be a Club Meeting tomorrow night, Thursday 10th October at 8:00pm.

Clubwear will be on sale from 7:00 to 8:00pm in the Clubrooms tomorrow night, Thursday.

We can be sure that Summer is definitely over when we see the growing activity in the Handball Alley. Barney will be glad to welcome new participants.

All the best to those participating in the Scrappa in Cappagh this Saturday night.
