Well done to Sean Fox on a good performance last Sunday and good luck to himself, Donal and all involved in the Tyrone Minor Football team in the All Ireland Final.

In our last Senior League game before the Championship we had a narrow but deserved victory over Errigal Ciaran last Friday night. We will face the Moy in the Championship on Saturday week, 14th September, in Galbally.

The week gone past was one for the record books as we beat Dromore in the Juvenile Football League, won the U12 Loughmacrory Harte  Tournament and beat Errigal Ciaran in the Senior League. On Monday night the U16 Girls defeated Drumragh  and last night the Juvenile Hurlers defeated Beragh. On Saturday night last our Ladies won the Tyrone Intermediate Championship with a great victory over Ardboe. Our U13 Footballers play An Charraig Mhór and Aghyaran tomorrow night, Thursday. A team of stewards, male and female, ensured the smooth running of the Junior Championship match we hosted in Ballinamullan.

It was thus very appropriate that indications are that we will get a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to help us record the history of the GAA in our Parish since 1904 because obviously 2013 is making its own bit of history.

This Saturday Ballinamullan hosts Mountfield’s big community day with the Married Men versus the Single Men. Last year’s game was a great success in terms of money raised and enjoyment provided and this year promises to be just as good. See Club website for details.
