Club Notes: July 31st

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 6, 14, 18, 27, 29 and Fearghal McDonald won £100. The main jackpot remains at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.

Good luck to Tiernán McCann, Dermot Carlin and the Tyrone Senior Footballers on Saturday and to Sean Fox and the County Minor Footballers on Sunday as both teams bid for places in the All Ireland Semi Finals. Dermot returned to action last Saturday after injury and showed the familiar dash and drive.

Both our Reserve and Senior Football teams lost to Augher on Friday night last. Our Reserves seemed to be in a strong position but fell away in the final ten minutes. The Senior games was a closely contested affair with a strong and capable Augher team just shading it in the dying minutes.

Our Juvenile Footballers had a good start to the League with a narrow but deserved victory over An Charraig Mhór.

Loughmacrory provided the opposition on last night’s Ladies Championship Semi Final in Beragh. Our Girls came out victorious on a scoreline of 1-13 to 1-10. This great team performance now leads our Girls to a Tyrone Intermediate Championship Final against Ardboe. Congratulations to all involved and we all look forward to the Final.

The U14 Girls play the Moy tonight, Wednesday, in a crucial League game at Ballinamullan at 7:30pm.

The Minor Hurlers play Shamrocks in the Championship on Sunday at 12:30 in Ballinamullan. All Minor Hurlers are also required to boost the Senior panel with their Championship in two weeks time. Training continues on Wednesdays at 7:30pm.

Those who have ordered tickets for this weekend’s Tyrone matches can collect them at Ballinamullan tomorrow night, Thursday, between 7:00 and 8:00pm.

Clubwear on sale in the Clubrooms tomorrow night, Thursday, between 7:00 and 8:00pm. New orders can be placed.

Sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late Brian McGuigan. Brian was an active player, he maintained his great interest in the GAA and the younger generation is now involved.

Sincere sympathy also to the family circle of the late Vincent Lafferty and especially Mickey, Deirdre and family who do so much for our Club.

Our sympathy is also extended to the family circle of the late Susie McGarrigle. The McCrorys of Cullion have a proud record of support for our Gaelic games both on and off the field.
