Club Notes: April 24th

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 8, 11, 15, 26, 30 and Dominic McCaskie received £100. The main jackpot stays at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo next Monday night in the Parish Centre.

Our Senior Ladies and Men fell to very narrow defeats at the weekend with the Ladies losing to Ardboe on Friday night 2-07 to 1-09 and the Men to Greencastle on Sunday 0-09 to 0-08. The Ladies shook off a disappointing first half performance to play a great second half which almost brought victory. In the first round of League games our Reserves started off brightly but fell away in the second half. The Seniors, although leading at half time 0-03 to 0-02, did not shine in the first half but did turn in a strong fighting performance in the second half which deserved at least a share of the spoils. Full credit to both teams for making it a very interesting second half in spite of the strong cross field wind. We will be at home to Trillick on Sunday 5th May.

Good luck to Dermot Carlin, Tiernan McCann and Tyrone in the National League Final on Sunday.  Sean Fox and the Tyrone Minors fell to Monaghan in the Ulster League Semi Final last Saturday.

Both U-14 Football teams were in Feile action last Tuesday and will have League games this Saturday.

After suffering defeats in their last two games by one point margins our Minor Footballers returned to winning ways last week with a victory over Strabane.

Following last Tuesday’s official launch the countdown is well and truly on for our popular annual 10K Run and 5K Run and Walk on Saturday 18th May.
