Club Notes: March 13th

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 4, 20, 23, 26, 28 and eleven winners each received £10. The main jackpot remains at £5,000. Please note that there will be no Bingo this Monday night, 18th March, but we will be back in action again on Monday 25th March.
The Minor Footballers have made an impressive start to the year with wins in the first two League games over Errigal Ciaran and Loughmacrory. They play Omagh St Enda’s this Saturday.
U14 Football has also got underway with a victory at the expense of Newtownstewart and a defeat at the hands of Castlederg.
Our Killyclogher and Recarson Primary Schools kept the Hurling flag flying in the recent Primary School Blitz.
The Seniors finished level with Roslea after a closely fought game on Sunday.
Club Registrar, Kenny Laing, will be holding a Membership Registration Evening on Friday 15th March in the new building in Ballinamullan from 6:30 to 8:30pm.
Comhghairdeas to our Set Dancers and Novelty Act Group on their success last Saturday and all the best in the Ulster Final on 6th April in Derry.
Our first big event to mark the year of the Gathering will be held on Saturday week, 23rd March. The night starts off with a meal for invited guests in the home of a host. All guests all then go to Dún Uladh for a night of socialising from 10:00pm. Dancing to the popular local band The Rockits. The theme for the night is 70s. No better way to clear your head after the Gathering on Saturday 23rd than to join in the cycle around the Parish led by our Hurlers on Sunday 24th.
Sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late Mrs Geraldine Ward, Mullaslin many of whom have strong links with the GAA.
Ladies
The Minor Girls resume their League with a match away to Castlederg this Saturday.
Training for Minor and U-16 Girls continues every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 to 7:15pm.
Training for U-14 Girls continues every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 to 8:15pm.
Youth Football
Congratulations to all our teams who played at the weekend for their spirited, enthusiastic and successful performances in their respective League campaigns.
The final Indoor Gaelic Start will be this Saturday in the Parish Centre, Killyclogher from 2:00pm to 3:15pm. We are arranging an outdoor session as the conclusion to the programme. More details to follow.
U8s and U10s are back indoors on Sunday 24th March in the Parish Centre. The U8s will be from 3:00 to 4:00pm and the U10s will be from 4.00 to 5.00pm.
U14A team training continues on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8.30pm. The next league game is scheduled for this Saturday 16th March at home to Errigal Ciaran with a 12:45pm throw in.
U14 Dev team training continues on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:15pm. The next league game is scheduled for this Saturday 16th March away to Owen Roe’s again with a 12.45pm throw-in.
Minor training as normal with the next game this Saturday 16th away to Omagh St Enda’s, with an 11:00am throw in.
The Club will be taking part in the St Patrick’s Day Parade to be held in Omagh on Monday 18th March. Please note that the parade will begin at the Crevanagh Road Park N’ Ride Car Park and all available Club Members and family are asked to assemble at Crevanagh Road Car Park between 1:15 and 1:30pm. Children to be collected immediately after the parade at Sally’s Hill, John Street. Those taking part in the parade are asked to wear club colours and wrap up.
Youth Hurling
U8 and U10 training details will be issued shortly.
Final dates are being confirmed for the U14 Hurling League and training to start soon.
Senior Hurling
Senior training now is on Friday evenings at Ballinamullan from 7:00pm with a good effort last week from the players. Minor and U16 players requested to attend.
The ‘Tour de Cappagh’ cycle is now just over a week away with more details next week.
