Club Notes: March 6th

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 5, 16, 18, 21, 27 and Kevin Phelan won £100. The main jackpot remains at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night. We wish one of our regular Bingo-goers, Mrs O’Donnell, a speedy recovery from her recent setback.
There will be a Meeting tomorrow night, 7th March, at 8:00pm.
On Sunday last we had friendly games with Ballybofey at U14 level and Ballinascreen at Senior level. A big thank you to our Club Referees, Brian McGinn and Kevin Taggart, to those who prepared the Grounds and to our excellent team in the Kitchen for providing the much appreciated hospitality.
Our Set Dancers and Novelty Act Group will compete in the Ulster Scór Semi Final this Saturday evening, 9th March, at 7:00pm in Derrygonnelly. We wish them the success that their talents and efforts deserve. A big turnout of supporters would be appreciated.
Well done out Minor boys and girls who were both successful last weekend in their League matches.
A busy weekend coming up in two weeks time with our first “Gathering” on Saturday 23rd March and the Cycle organised by our Hurlers on Sunday 24th March.
Ladies
Well done to our Minor Girls who last week defeated Omagh St Enda’s. In a highly competitive contest, with the usual mix of tenacious defending, composure on the ball, great support play and some superb scores the Girls ensured victory on a scoreline of 2-10 to 1-07. Next up for the Girls is an away trip to Castlederg in two weeks time
Youth Football
Congratulations to our Minor girls, boys and coaches for a very successful start to their respective league campaigns.
Gaelic Start continues this Saturday in the Parish Centre from 2:00pm to 3:15pm.
The U8s and U10s next outing will be at Ballinamullan pitches on Tuesday 12th March from 6:00 to 7.15pm.
U14A team training is on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. The first league game is scheduled for this Saturday 9th March away to Newtownstewart with a 1.00pm throw in. This match is to be played in Dregish as Newtownstewart’s pitch is unavailable.
U14 Dev team training is on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:15pm. Their first league game is scheduled for this Saturday 9th March at home to Castlederg again, with a  1.00pm throw in.
Minor training continues as usual with the next game scheduled for 4.30pm on Saturday 9th March away to Loughmacrory.
A child protection course is arranged for next Tuesday night in the Clubrooms. Time to be confirmed. All those who have not already attended this course in the last 3 years and who wish to coach our young children must attend. Please forward names to Barry McCaul if not already done so.
Youth Hurling
The Indoor Hurling has now concluded in the Parish Centre and Hurling Coaching will start outdoors after the time changes.
The U12 Hurlers have a County Indoor Blitz on Saturday morning in St. Ciaran’s Ballygawley starting at 10:00am. Players should assemble at the Parish Centre for 9:30am for travel to the blitz.
Senior Hurling
Senior Hurling training changes to Ballinamullan on Friday evening from 7:00pm to 8:15pm sharp. Minors and U16s should also attend.
Remember to keep your wheels turning for the ‘Tour de Cappagh’ cycle Sportive on the 24th March.
