How we respond when things are going against us is a good test of character. Things were certainly going against our U-13 Footballers in Saturday’s Final as Dromore cruised to a very comfortable lead in the first half. Our young players fought back with spirit, determination and no little skill to put on a great second half performance. Well done. Congratulations to Dromore on their victory.
Next up for our young players, boys and girls, Football, Hurling, Handball and Scór will the very popular Youth Presentation Night. Details later.
Scór na nÓg gets under way this weekend.
Sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late Mrs. Mary McClements. She was a great worker for the community and a strong supporter of the GAA. Her son Malachy did much to promote Hurling in our Parish both as a player and an organizer and sadly Noel was the victim of a fatal accident just as he was making the transition from youth player to adult player. We also sympathise with the family circle of the late Tommy Logue. Tommy was a regular supporter of our Bingo and our Card Plays.
We wish Hugh McAleer a speedy and complete recovery from his recent illness.
Please note that the November Meeting has been brought forward and will be help tonight, Thursday, at 8:30pm. Nominations and Motions for the AGM should be returned by Sunday 4th November to the Club Secretary.
