Club Notes: August 29th

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 2, 10, 11, 25, 26 and twenty winners each received £5. The main jackpot stays at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.
Tomorrow evening (Thursday 30th) we host the Ulster Bank Roadshow in Ballinamullan, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There will be a skills test for the children and goodie bags.  The highlight of the evening will be a chat show with Pat Spillane heading up a panel celebrities.
A big thank you to all who sponsored races, bought horses and attended last Friday’s Night At The Races in the Village Inn. This event was organised by the Ladies. We wish them well in the Senior B Championship game with Glenelly.
The Fr Shields Camogie Club, based in Greencastle, and captained by our own Leanne O’Neill, put up a good show in their Championship games with An Charraig Mhór. Hopefully they will go on to build on this performance.
Our Reserves successfully took on Kildress last Friday night and , like our Seniors, have qualified for the Quarter Final. In the Senior Quarter Final we play Derrylaughan in Healy Park on Friday night (31st August) at 8:30 pm. We would appreciate good support.
Everyone will be glad to hear that Joe Lowry is steadily making a good recovery from his hernia operation.
Sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late Sean McElroy and especially to his sister Eilish.

Ladies Football
Our Senior Ladies are in the Senior B Championship tomorrow night with a game against Glenelly in Ballinamullan at 7:00 pm. All support welcome.
All U-12, U-14 and U-16 girls are asked to attend training tomorrow evening (Thursday 30th August) from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm as Pat Spillane will be in attendance.

Youth Football
The Cappagh U-10 Squad will attend the Moy Tournament on Saturday 1st September. Players are to meet at the Cappagh Parish Centre at 8:15 am and are reminded to bring a packed lunch.
U-8 & 10 training continues on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30pm.
All U-12/13/14/16 who wish to attend a skills based coaching session tomorrow evening (Thursday 30th) before the Ulster Bank Roadshow event please assemble at Clubrooms for 5:30pm. The session will take place from 6:00 to 7:00pm after which you are invited to attend the event. Any parents wishing to attend please contact any coach to reserve a place.
The Ulster Bank GAA Force Roadshow is coming to Killyclogher/Cappagh Clubrooms tomorrow night (Thursday 30th) with special guests Sam Maguire and Pat Spillane along with other well known GAA pundits and players. It promises to be a great evening’s entertainment for all. As part of the roadshow a Kidszone will be in operation. This is designed for children over 12 years old and includes an outdoor kicking tunnel for measuring the ball speed when kicked and a Batak board for measuring reflexes. All registered children over 12 years old are invited to attend.
Youth Hurling
Our Minor hurling team start their league tomorrow evening (30th August) with an away game with An Charraig Mhór Éire Óg at 7:30pm. All players should assemble at the Clubrooms in Ballinamullan for 6:45pm.
Our U-16 hurlers still have to play Dún Geanainn Eoghain Ruadh in their last match with no date yet fixed. Apologies also to the U16s for confusion about their game on Monday evening.
U-8/10 hurling coaching resumes on Tuesday evenings after the football from 7:30 to 8:00 pm for the next four weeks and all help welcome.
