Club Notes: August 8th

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 6, 7, 8, 10, 13 and twenty winners each received £5. The main jackpot stays at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.
We fell heavily to Errigal Ciaran last Saturday. The Reserves stayed in contention for most of the game but our Seniors never threatened Errigal Ciaran at any time.
This Saturday evening we play Kildress in the Senior Championship in Loughmacrory at 7:00pm. A big turn out of supporters would be most welcome.
Tyrone Minor Footballers, male and female, failed in their bid for All Ireland glory at the weekend but came very close to victory. Well done to players Mark Bradley, Sean Fox. Teri McCusker and Emma McAleer and officials Donal Magee and Antoinette McCusker on their efforts.
A big thank you to all who helped us to host two Junior Championship games last Friday evening.
Anyone wishing to enter a team in the Golf Classic at Omagh Golf Club is asked to contact Sean O’Kane on 07737495404 regarding tee times. The Golf Classic, a popular fund raising and social event, will be held on Friday week, 17th August.
The Ladies are organising a Night at the Races in the Village Inn on Friday 24th August.
The Club have been asked to pilot a new GAA Club Initiative with the Bank of Ireland. Please see the Club Website for details.

Ladies Football
Senior Training will continue as usual in preparation for the final league game.
U-16 training continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Ballinamullan from 7:00pm. The next U-16 League game is on Saturday week. More details in next week’s notes.
Training for U-12s and U-14s takes place every Tuesday and Thursday night from 7:00-8:00pm.
Hard luck to the Tyrone Minors who were defeated in the All Ireland Final on Monday past.
Youth Football
Our U-8s are away to Errigal Ciaran this Saturday morning. All players should meet at the Parish Centre at 9:30am. U-8 and U-10 Training on Tuesday 14th August 6:30 – 7.30pm.
The next U-10 Blitz is on Saturday 18th August. More details next week.
There is U-12 training this Wednesday 8th and Friday 10th from 6:30 – 7:30pm. The next game is home to Dungannon on Monday 13th August. Please assemble at the Clubrooms for 6:30pm.
Our U-14s have two league quarter final games away to Derrylaughin and to Gortin on Saturday. Both games are currently scheduled for 2:00pm. More details at training at 6:30pm on Thursday evening.
We are hosting a Football Development Camp in Ballinamullan from Monday 13th August to Wednesday 15th August. The camp is open to children in the 12-15 age bracket (Boys and Girls). It will run from 2:00 -5:00pm over the three days and costs £15 per child. Application forms are available on the Club Website.
Youth Hurling
The U-16 hurlers have no game this week but have training on Thursday at 7:30pm along with the Minors and Seniors.
The next U-16 hurling match is on Thursday 9th August home to Éire Óg, An Charraig Mhór with a 7:30pm throw-in and we are away to Dungannon the following Thursday. We also have an additional fixture with Lisbellaw with a date still to be confirmed.
