Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 6, 7, 14, 21, 30 and Niall McElholm and Joe Quinn each received £50. The main jackpot stays at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night. The Bingo is being very well supported but we would always welcome more to play or to work and make sure it goes smoothly.
With injuries, holidays and the work situation we were stretched to field two teams last Saturday. On the plus side we had a few back who had been unavailable. Our Reserves put up a good show and only lost out in the last quarter. Our Seniors seemed to be on course for two points but allowed Eglish back into the game. It then looked certain to finish up in a draw but Eglish scored a dramatic winning point deep into injury added on. We are due to play Errigal Ciaran in Ballinamullan this Saturday.
On Sunday the Tyrone Minor footballers take on Meath in Newry in the All Ireland Quarter Final. All the best to Sean Fox, Mark Bradley and Donal Magee.
A big thank you to all who, at short notice, turned out to ensure the smooth running of last Friday night’s Junior Championship games. We host another double bill on Friday evening and we need stewards in position from 5:30pm. Your help will, of course, be appreciated anytime you can attend between 5:30pm and 9:30pm.
Two big fundraisers coming up in August – our annual Golf Classic on Friday 17 August and a Night at the Races organised by our Ladies for the following week, Friday 24 August. If you would like to enter a team in the Golf Classic please contact Sean O’Kane on 07737495404 regarding tee times. The Ladies are also selling races and horses in preparation for the big night.
The Club have also been asked to pilot a new GAA Club Initiative with the Bank of Ireland. Please see the Club Website for details.
