Club Notes: June 13th

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 2, 4, 15, 17 and 18 and twenty winners each received £5. The main jackpot stays at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.
Our Annual Festival, Féile na Ceapaí, was well supported both by those who worked tirelessly to keep it running smoothly and those who attended the functions and activities. Those skilled in the traditional trades and those with expertise in the new technology transferred the Marquee and the business people generously supplied us with equipment and appliances. A big thank you to everyone.
Saturday morning was enjoyed by the young people. In the evening the hurlers of the 90s showed that “once a hurler always a hurler” was very true. Our Ladies completed a League and Championship double at Minor level and this contributed greatly to the enjoyment of Saturday evening. Tyrone’s hurling success on Saturday was followed by the great performances of the County Minor and Senior Footballers on Sunday and with Mark Bradley and Dermot Carlin playing such leading roles and Sean Fox also on the Minor panel, it all added to the life of the Festival. The Guest Tea brought together friends and neighbours who have been supporting our Club for a long time. A big thank you to those who attended and those who worked so hard to make the Guest Tea so successful. We had a wide range of entertainers – Patsy O’Hagan, Knotty Pine, Chasin’ Hooley, Country Sensations and Freerider and they showed just why they are so highly regarded. The bad weather affected the Treasure Hunt on Thursday night but those who took part enjoyed it. Well done to Joan Lowry. The Big Festival Bingo on Monday night was also well supported. Five good days and nights for the Club.
We wish Frank Mimnagh a return to good health.
Congratulations to our Scór star, Barry Woods, on his engagement.
On Friday and Saturday we have Minor Football with Omagh, U-14 with Tattyreagh and Senior and Reserve with An Charraig Mhór. Watch the website for details.
It is Donnelly Cup time again. This year’s competition is scheduled for Friday 22 June and we wish all of our Schools an enjoyable day.
