Club Notes: March 21st

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 1, 6, 8, 24, 30 and Tommy and Mary McAleer won £100.The main jackpot stays at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.
Our Minor, Reserve and Senior footballers were all in action on St. Patrick’s morning along with our guests, the Senior footballers from Letterkenny. We had two games and a big thank you to Brian McGinn who refereed both games. As usual the tea after the matches was very much appreciated. It is vital that all youth players and adult players register for 2012 as well as all supporters.
Membership to be renewed before 31st March. There will be an opportunity to register in the Parish Centre this Sunday 25th March, 11.00am to 1.00pm. This is also the time for renewing support for the club through hoardings around the playing field. The response from our local business people has, as usual, been very good. We have had several new businesses advertising this year and if anyone else would like to support please contact Niall McKenna 07881950055.
Next Friday night, 30th March, is Card Night in Mountfield and we are grateful to Mickey Meenagh for his help.
Thanks to our youth footballers, hurlers, ladies footballers, their coaches and some who had taken part in the Sharlene Casement Cycle event we were well represented in the St.Patrick’s Day Parade which was organised by the District Council. Congratulations to all who turned out to represent our club and help to make the event a huge success. A special thank you to Brian and Sean for enthusiastically organising everyone.
Dónal McMullan, our club player, is raising money for Friends of Africa and has organised a cycle event for this Saturday 24th March. Please give him your support.
Best wishes to Anthony Connelly for a speedy recovery.
Sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late Oliver Donaghy and especially to his brother Anthony who played for us.
