Cappagh Ladies Minor team got their season off to a winning start on Monday 27th February under lights in Carrickmore. The final score was 7-7 to 2-9. From start to finish Carrickmore struggled to contain the fire power up front, but the platform for this victory was based on the tireless work of our defence and midfield. With 15 minutes to go the game was in the melting pot, but resolute defending coupled with an outstanding penalty save by Bronwyn Kelly ensured that there was no way back for Carrickmore.
Next up for the girls is a home match against Donaghmore on Saturday 3rd March at 11am.
Training will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6.30 to 7.30
