Cappagh Senior Ladies travelled to Dublin last Saturday, 24th September, to take part in their first ever TESCO All Ireland 7s competition, in what proved to be a very enjoyable weekend.
The ladies were unfortnate not to win any of their competitive games, however it will be a learning curve for their future participation in the competition and certainly did not dampen the spirit of the girls who still painted dublin city with their colour coded Cappagh going out outfits of blue and navy colours later that night.
A huge thank you to all those who contributed through sponsorship in events that were organised for the weekend and to all the girls who made the effort to train for those extra few weeks and headed down to dublin for the weekend including the management, Gary Wallace and Aidan ONeill. A special thanks to our umpire and lines men for the da Paul Conway and Sean Okane who brought alot of laughter to the weekend also.
The girls done the club proud and were even complemented by other teams on how well they looked in their new senior ladies gear.
A special word thanks must be given to Peter McBride of McBride Spar Group for sponsoring the gear and supporting Coill an Chlochair Naomh Mhuire/Ceapach, as always please remember to Support Those Who Support Us.
