CLUB NOTES: August 17th

Our Reserves lost heavily to a very talented and well drilled Clonoe team last Sunday.
In the Senior game we defended strongly but Clonoe finally pulled away to a well deserved victory, our next major engagement will be the Championship, Friday week in Healy Park.
We host two Intermediate Championship games on Saturday with the first one at 5.00pm. Stewards are asked to be in place from 3.30pm but help will also be appreciated at any time during the games. The playing fields are in excellent condition. A big effort from a small group of workers has really transformed the car park. We need your help to ensure the smooth running of the two games which are so important to our four visiting teams – Clann na nGael v Augher at 5.00pm and Rock v Aghyaran at 6.30pm.
Good luck to our Senior hurlers on Saturday.

Cappagh
Our Juvenile footballers lost to An Charraig Mhór last Wednesday on a night of strong winds and very heavy rain. Well done to both teams for coping with the elements. An Charraig Mhór looked impressive as they drove forward to victory. We play Errigal Ciaran tonight, come along, SHOW YOUR SUPPORT.
Our Under 12 footballers finished off on a high with two wins in Strabane. We have had a good run at this level and were able to take on two clubs each week as we had good numbers. The Under 13s go into action in September and are preparing well on Wednesdays at 6.00pm. The Under 10s have coaching on Saturdays at 10.00am and on Thursdays at 6.30pm. You are welcome to join in.
Although not winning it is great for our hurlers to be back competing at Minor level again.
