On Sunday last we travelled to Dunmoyle and lost to Errigal Ciaran in both Senior and Reserve games. This Sunday we are at home to Derrylaughlin and will face a tight battle from one of last year’s promoted teams. All involved with the club can feel justifiably proud of the club being honoured with a Highly Commended Award in the Club of the Year Awards, sponsored by the Irish News. We would like to thank the Dromore club for the warm welcome and kind presentation to our All Ireland winning Ballad Group at an enjoyable function in Dromore to mark the All Ireland success of Dromore’s Instrumental Music Group.
Cappagh
Our minor footballers were very disappointed at bowing out so early from the Minot Championship but showed great spirit by coming out in big numbers for the next training session. They played Strabane last night (Wednesday) in the last sectional league game and hopefully will be involved in the league quarter finals. In spite of the loss of key players and deserve a place in the knock out stages. Our U14s also deserve great credit with the ‘A’ team battling through to the league quarter finals and the ‘B’team also claiming a spot in the league quarter final as well as progressing in the championship. They played Brackaville last night and take on Killeeshil on Saturday in the championship. At this stage it is all systems go for the juveniles as they prepare for their opening league game. Coaching, Go Games and blitzes are keeping U8s, U10s and U12s busy as well as giving them enjoyment and helping them to become proud members of our club.
