We travelled to Greencastle last Sunday to take on our neighbours in Senior and Reserve league games. Our Reserves started off very impressively but fell behind as the game progressed and it took a very strong performance in the last ten minutes to clinch the league points. Our sharpshooter was in particularly fine form and that helped to get off to a winning start in this year’s Reserve league. In the Senior game Greencastle scored a very early goal, led by 4 points at half time and maintained their lead until we scored a well worked goal with a bout ten minutes to go. Greencastle scored an equalising point and, in the end, a draw was a fair result in a closely and evenly contested game.
This Saturday we have Ardboe as visitors with the Reserve game timed for 4.00pm and the Senior game at 5.30pm. A big turn out of supporters would be appreciated.
Sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late Thomas (Tosh) Doherty and especially to Tommy and Teresa and the Nugent family.
