Many were puzzled by the peleton of cyclists heading out the Ballinode Road last Sunday. It was the latter stages of the Croke Park to Cappagh cycle that was completed over the weekend by Killyclogher GAA, Co Tyrone. 170 cyclists took to the roads, sent on their way by GAA president, Christy Cooney from Croke Park last Saturday. After stopping in Ashbourne, they travelled to Hunsterstown Rovers in Louth for lunch, and stopped overnight in Cremartin. After an early start last Sunday, they travelled through Monaghan and out the Ballinode Road on their journey into Clogher and Seskinore, and onto the Cappagh Parish Centre for the finish of a grueling but invigorating trip. A lovely event coming through our area!
