With many of our members still taking to the roads regularly we have are being asked to keep everyone up to date with other challenges. There are Several Wheelers Runs coming up throughout the summer which we will flag up. Several cyclists have also signed up for the North Down Cycle Club Coastal Run.
This is a 100km route int the height of summer on the scenic coastal route the Ards Peninsula which has few inclines and takes a break in Portaferry for lunch. En-route there will be water stations, a “broom wagon” for breakdowns etc. and the event will be overseen by local police assisted by an experienced team of marshalls, with motorcycle paramedics and ambulance back-up.
