le Tour de Cappagh: Get Prepared

With this Sundays ‘le Tour de Cappagh’ fast approaching the organising committee would like to take the opportunity to thank all the leaders & riders who were out last Sunday afternoon.

In total, 13 of our teams were out on the roads, that’s almost 100 cyclists! Teams set of every 2 minutes, going in clockwise & anti clockwise directions around a route which saw riders pass through, Killyclogher, Omagh, Dromore, Fintona, Seskinore and back home. Everyone did amazingly well on the 28mile route, on what proved to be one of the best days of the year, so far.
The crisp air filled the lungs and those chests swelled with pride, as one by one the teams arrived back to the village for the well earned refreshments served in the Parish Hall.
Thanks to everyone who took part, thanks to our team leaders for all their advice and input, thanks to the ladies who had warm smiles and warmer cups of tea on the return.
This Sunday see’s an even bigger challenge as the cyclists wind their way through the highways and byways of our Parish. Again we start at 12 noon and we hope to see an even bigger turnout!
Anyone who hasn’t been out yet, don’t be afraid… the craic is great and there’s still time.
So, ON YOUR BIKES!
