Saturday night saw this years dancers introduced & paired off!
A great night was had by all involved, Noel McGinn, who stepped into the breach when James McGinn had to withdraw, had the gathered throng in raptures. As for the dancers themselves everyone was impeccably turned out as they readied themselves to find out who they were paired with.
As the night drew on all eight couples were picked and it was announced that you can VOTE for your favourite couple to WIN by TEXTING 82727.
The Couples are:
Text 82727: DANCE A Sharlene Casement & Niall Burns Text 82727: DANCE B Anne Cooke & Adrian Doherty Text 82727: DANCE C Siobhan Sweeney & Aiden O’Neill Text 82727: DANCE D Clare McCusker & Eoin Bradley Text 82727: DANCE E Anne Kelly & Dominic McCanny Text 82727: DANCE F Aine Kelly & JJ Quinn Text 82727: DANCE G Nichola Barbour & Cormac Cunningham Text 82727: DANCE H Shielah Molloy & Dermot Carlin
Now the real work starts as the dancers ready themselves for The Dance Off, March 13th, Mellon Country Hotel.
Texts are charged 50p plus local network charges & will run from January 23rd to March 12th. Texts after this date will not be counted but you may still be charged.
The tragic deaths of Paul McGrath and Anthony McKenna and the serious injuries sustained by Tommy Nugent have made Thursday 7th January 2010 a black day for our community.
In the best traditions of sharing sorrow, friends and neighbours are supporting the families at this very stressful time. Our Club is at the heart of this community and we know that our Members will also rally round the families, not just over the weekend but in the weeks and months ahead.
The families need and deserve the strong support which the strong bond of club membership can give.
Its started again! Yesterday saw the auditions for Strictly Come Dancing 2010…
The Auditions took place In the Village Inn and ran from 5pm til late in the evening & were well attended, with over 30 men & women putting themselves through the ordeal of interviews & dance tests! The judging panel had a seriously tough time as the standard was incredibly high. There were surprises, high and lows, but come 11pm the last dancers finished & the judges huddled, conferred, argued and tried to reach agreement…
A full list of those who auditioned, will be posted later this week & the Final 16 dancers will be listed in time for the Launch Night (Village Inn, Saturday 16th January at 8pm).
