Club Notes: September 2nd

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 8, 19, 20, 25, 29 and ten winners will each receive £10. The jackpot stands at £5,000 for next week’s draw which will be made on Monday evening. Don’t forget that club lotto can now be played online on Klubfunder.

It is to the credit of managers, coaches and players that last week’s hectic schedule of games was fulfilled, not forgetting family members who helped with transport to youth games, so boys and girls of various ages all completed their fixtures.

Friday night’s men’s Tyrone SFC quarter final had it all – short quick fist passing, long diagonal kick passing, full blooded tackles, blocks, searing solo runs, high fielding – level on the scoreboard and level on the playing field. This was a great game. A penalty shoot-out was not the way to bring it to a conclusion. It is a game that will live for long in the memories of those who were lucky enough to see it and those who, as players, played starring roles.

Good luck to our U16 boys who are away to Clonoe in the championship tomorrow night, Thursday, following their victory over Loughmacrory in a strongly contested game. They are also due to play Ardboe in Ballinamullan in the league semi-final tomorrow week, Thursday 10th September.

Good luck also to our U14 boys who are away to An Charraig Mhór in the championship on Saturday morning at 11:00am.

Hard luck to our senior ladies who exited the championship to a very strong An Charraig Mhór side last weekend.
