Club Notes: March 11th

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 4, 10, 12, 22, 30 and Ryan Meenan and Kevin McCaskie each won £50. The jackpot stands at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.

Wide range of club wear available in the shop tomorrow night, Thursday, from 7:00 to 8:00pm. Club membership can also be paid at the shop at this time.

The bad weather and ground conditions continued to wreak havoc with the fixture programme but there is still plenty of action. Over the weekend, we took part in the Fintona U14 boys’ tournament. In the minor boys, we played a draw in Strabane and our U14 girls drew with Loughmacrory. The senior men played Ardboe in two games and our senior ladies were training.

Our Scór Sinsear Set Dancers finished off a good weekend for the club by qualifying for the Ulster Final which will take place on Saturday 21st March in Silverbridge with Glenullin, Drumlane, Emyvale and ourselves competing for the title.

Well done to our representatives on the various County teams, female and male, who were in action over the weekend especially to our U20 representatives who won an Ulster Championship.

Well done, also, to Luke Higgins who picked up an All Ireland Freshers title with UCD last week.

Gaelic Start and Gaelic Academy got underway last Friday and continues this Friday, from 6:30 to 7:30pm in Ballinamullan.

On Friday night we are holding a Table Quiz in the Village Inn beginning at 9:00pm. All welcome.
