The competitive year is moving to a close but there is still a hectic schedule of games over the next couple of weeks for boys and girls, men and ladies, weather and ground conditions permitting.
Our U16 boys had a good win over Eglish in the juvenile championship last Saturday and have the following games to play; league quarter final away to Donaghmore this Saturday and championship semi final against An Charraig Mhór next Tuesday, 8th October.
The U13 boys football commences this Sunday at 11:30am with an away game against Dromore.
The U10 and U8 boys had some great performances at their tournament and blitzes last Saturday morning. We thank the host clubs.
Our senior men, with three league games left to play, face Derrylaughan this Saturday in Ballinamullan at 3:30 and 5:00pm.
The U16 girls defeated Sperrin Óg on Sunday and have now qualified for the play-offs for the league final. They also have a championship match as yet to be scheduled.
We wish our Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others team the best of luck in this weekend’s National Blitz in Dublin.
Sincere sympathy to the family circles of the late Jim McKeown and Peter McGovern. Jim McKeown helped us to establish Comhaltas in the Parish and the McGovern family provided us with footballers, both youth and adult.
